Music City Center Nashville: rigging points, power and haze N081 | https://glmedia.tech/technical-help/music-city-center-nashville-rigging-energia-haze/ Music City Center is at 201 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville, Tennessee. The September 2025 Event Planning Guide and rigging drawings distinguish Exhibit Hall and Karl F. Dean Grand Ballroom. Not every Exhibit Hall point supports two tons. Identify the member and drawing legend before assigning motors or signage. How do Exhibit Hall and Grand Ballroom points differ? The Exhibit Hall A–D drawing identifies 2 ton king posts, rigging wire limited to 400 lb per 30 ft section and no-rigging areas. Hall A separates 1 ton low-steel points every 10 ft from one 1 ton low-spanning-steel point per 30 ft span. These conditions are not interchangeable. Grand Ballroom points are 1/4, 1/2 and 1 ton according to symbols, with varying elevations: verify each ID against CAD and the provider. The current page assigns all rigging, including indoor/outdoor graphics, to Convention Production Rigging, Inc. Submit LED, truss, motors, cables, trim and complete reactions. Hold weight or room changes for drawing review; the general guide does not establish system acceptance. What must be checked for supported LED and power? Exhibit Hall specifications list 350 lb/ft², not a wheel rating or ballroom value. Submit footprints, reactions and dock/freight-elevator route for supported installation review. Ballast does not establish permission. MCC supplies electrical and utility services exclusively. Order voltage, phases, current, connector and hours; separate motor and LED services. Check the order and distribution before connection. The checklist requests COI, floorplan and signage at 30 days and complete requirements, including rigging, at 14 days; confirm any earlier provider-specific deadline. Can haze be used during rehearsal? Oil-based fog/haze machines are prohibited. Fire watch is required during any use, including tests and rehearsals; coordinate equipment, fluid and hours before emission. Pyrotechnics require advance Fire Marshal approval. This section does not document laser authorization or its specific process: request those conditions separately and retain no-emission operation until resolved. Can the building PA provide show music? Page 13 limits public address to announcements and prohibits singing or background music. Prepare separate production audio and confirm any event-message interface with MCC. Confirm the revision and appendices for the contracted space. Published data do not establish installation acceptance or replace permits or inspections.
