Reliant Center: power, network, and exhibitor services N124 | https://glmedia.tech/technical-help/reliant-center-power-network-services/ Reliant Center is the convention building at Reliant Park in Houston, formerly identified as NRG Center. This guide prepares technical services for exhibitors; it does not automatically apply to the stadium or Reliant Arena, and it does not approve a concert installation. Separate rigging, power, AV, and networking. Submit a scaled plan showing the power drop, outlets, aisles, and neighboring booths. Before requesting hookup, have the booth ready and coordinate work by the designated provider. 1. Building and scope Keep the same ID for Reliant Center and NRG Center. The official page distinguishes the Center from the rest of the complex; label every plan with hall and booth. The portal terms cover park exhibitor services: they are not a space reservation or an approved production plan. 2. Service responsibilities The official page lists these roles. Agree on each company’s scope and avoid turning preferred AV status into blanket exclusivity. Service | Listed provider | Scope Rigging | INSPIRE | Exclusive at Reliant Center; approved points and loads remain missing. Audiovisual | INSPIRE | Preferred provider for Reliant Park. Electricity | Freeman | Exclusive electrical contractor for the park. Telephone and Internet | Smart City | Exclusive provider for the park. 3. Electrical plan and hookup The terms require scaled dimensions for the ceiling drop and each outlet, with orientation shown through aisles or neighboring booths. Without an island-booth plan, the park may choose the power location. Order power based on peak equipment current and separate supply, distribution, and hookup. Permanent outlets are not available for unrestricted use. Connection and disconnection are performed by the park or designated provider; wiring beneath floor coverings must be installed by the park. These rules establish neither available power nor permission to work on infrastructure. 4. Service preparation and timing The general terms set advance pricing for complete orders two weeks before the first show date; this is not a rigging approval deadline. Scheduled electrical or plumbing labor requires 24 hours’ notice. When requesting booth work, crates must be removed and equipment positioned. Confirm the event-specific schedule. 5. Shared networking and production uses The portal excludes routers, streaming, and VoIP from its shared Internet services. For these uses, prepare a dedicated-network request with Smart City; do not assume attendee Wi-Fi covers production. For wireless product demonstrations, the terms call for coordination 21 days before move-in. The text does not guarantee performance beyond the facility. 6. Outstanding rigging, loading, and logistics INSPIRE’s designation does not establish suspension capacities. As technical preparation, assemble weights, requested points, heights, structures, and installation sequence for review. Support and wheel loads, floor protection, doors, route and unloading schedule, power by location, and applicable permits also require confirmation. Do not infer technical capacity from commercial attendance figures. Does this guide also cover Reliant Stadium? Not automatically. The identity and rigging exclusivity cited here concern Reliant Center. Each building and event needs its own assignment and approval. Can I stream using the booth’s shared connection? The reviewed terms exclude streaming on shared services. Define suitable service, devices, capacity, and tests with Smart City; no bandwidth is guaranteed here. Are rigging and loads already approved? No. This guide identifies responsibilities and service procedures. Installation points, loads, supports, plans, and permits remain unresolved. The terms retain the name NRG Park and display no edition date; they are described as text available when reviewed, not as a new 2026 manual. Scope: exhibitor services, with specific terms that may override general provisions. Approved rigging capacities, concentrated loads, assigned logistics, and event authorization remain unavailable.
