BenQ LU935ST
BenQ LU935ST: short throw, framing, and connection
Ask GLMedia about rental options for event projection. We review availability, configuration, and alternatives for your event.
Model and use
With the date, location, and intended use, we can review which equipment and combination can be offered. You can inquire before measurements, drawings, or the final schedule are ready.
LU935ST is a WUXGA laser DLP projector with native 1920 × 1200 imaging and a 16:10 aspect ratio. BenQ US specifies 5500 ANSI lumens and a 0.81–0.89:1 throw ratio.
Short throw helps explore positions close to the screen. Choosing a location also requires reviewing content format and people moving in front of the image.
Source, audio, and connection
- Direct picture
- Two HDMI inputs are available. Share source and output to prepare cable, adapter, and playback testing.
- HDBaseT
- A compatible transmitter is required. The LAN control port and HDBaseT have different functions and are not interchangeable.
- Audio
- Define where the presentation needs to be heard. We can coordinate sound and picture paths and test actual content.
What to prepare
Share screen width and height, approximate lens distance, and a space photo. We can compare options before a floor plan is ready.
Tell us whether people will be in front of the screen and whether content includes slides, video, or simulation. Share a sample and the viewing position.
Basic preparation
- Confirm the label says LU935ST. Keep a panel photo and starting settings.
- Compare placement with the ST-specific optical table; test image size and focus on site before securing the mount.
- Adjust zoom, focus, and lens shift before completing digital framing.
- Select the connected input and test the picture with the actual computer.
- Review from audience positions under planned lighting. Agree on text sizes, framing, and source changes before presenting.
Three technical questions
Why does a screen with another aspect ratio not fill as expected?
Let’s review width, height, file format, and lens position together. We can compare full framing with options that leave margins or require adapting the design.
Optical zoom is 1.1x. Digital correction does not extend its optical range; test placement before deciding to change the mount.
Can the network cable connect to either port?
LAN provides control; HDBaseT receives a signal from a compatible transmitter. Identify labels and equipment at both ends.
Send the transmitter model and proposed path. We can review the link and prepare a direct connection test for comparison.
What if the picture is positioned correctly but text is not sharp?
Use the focus ring with a pattern and review a representative slide. Compare center and edges before adjusting content or placement.
Share a photo and approximate distance. We can guide a test that separates focus, framing, and text size.
Checks by symptom
| Symptom | Check | What it helps distinguish |
|---|---|---|
| Image outside screen | Dimensions, format, and placement. | Optics or content. |
| No extended signal | HDBaseT port and transmitter. | Path or selection. |
| Unclear text | Focus pattern and slide. | Focus or readability. |
Limits and precautions
Keep ventilation and beam clear; do not look toward the operating lens. Review mounting with the projector manual and exact mount.
Do not open the projector or work on its laser source. Repairs require qualified personnel.
Define screen surface and room lighting through a test. Nominal brightness alone does not set screen size or audience capacity.
