Electro-Voice EKX-12P
A powered speaker to assess for front-of-house reinforcement or monitoring, with different preparation for audience and performer.
Ask about rental or technical support
Start with date, venue and approximate needs. We assess options, configuration and operation; availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.
Model and connections
Confirm powered EKX-12P, mains, signal input and output. Choose documented support and placement; monitor use does not authorize arbitrary support or improvised suspension.
Prepare and check
Record role, settings and who controls each send. For a quote, describe stage, audience areas, sources and monitor needs; confirm mounting and power for the exact unit.
We can assess rental, purchase, integration or support. Start with date, venue, program and approximate sources; quantities, compatibility, availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.
Questions and decisions
Should it serve as PA or monitor on a small stage?
Define who needs to hear it and which mix they need. For PA, assess the audience listening path; for monitoring, use the integral angle on a stable surface and check microphone, performer and cables. Verify clear speech without feedback at the required level. If coverage or an independent mix is missing, propose another position or send rather than just more volume.
Do CLIP and LIMIT mean the same thing?
No. CLIP calls for reducing input gain or source/mixer level; check that stage before changing master. Small LIMIT shows limiter activity; large LIMIT indicates affected sound and calls for reducing MASTER VOL. If the warning persists with a known moderate source, stop using the unit and refer to support; do not bypass protection.
