LED wall ground support: screen, interfaces and stability
Define whether the screen is stacked or suspended before selecting its support.
Define stacked or suspended use
Ask GLMedia about rental options for your event. The proposal is subject to availability, confirmation of the model and configuration, and the venue’s technical requirements.
Record cabinet model, dimensions, total mass and approved attachment method. A stacked screen transfers loads through its base arrangement; a suspended screen needs its documented hanging interfaces and supporting structure.
System example and cabinet interface
- System example
- Prolyte LSU uses a base, connection bars and ladder truss. Its straight-system page requires ballast related to screen height.
- Compatibility
- Confirm the actual cabinet-to-support interface; a broad compatibility statement does not identify the required adapter and fasteners.
No universal ballast quantity, height or wind limit applies to all LED supports. Use the complete configuration documentation and project stability assessment.
Load path, adapters and supports
Prepare a cabinet layout, base or hanging bars, matching adapters, braces and documented load path to the floor or support points. Include screen, frame, cables and all accessories in the load schedule.
Match the screen to the support plan
- Match screen dimensions and attachment positions to the approved support plan.
- Resolve floor reactions, ballast or anchors, electrical bonding, service access and cable routing.
- Have the assembly inspected before use. For outdoors, establish weather monitoring, actions and responsibilities from the approved design.
Three technical questions
Can an indoor stack support be used outdoors unchanged?
Do not assume so. Obtain documentation for the outdoor configuration and its site conditions before assembly.
The screen fits the adapter. Is it compatible?
Verify the cabinet manufacturer’s mounting provisions, adapter reference, fasteners and allowed loads. Physical fit alone is insufficient.
Check which fasteners the adapter actually includes. The cited LSU example lists mounting bolts as not supplied; obtain the specified fastener requirements for the real cabinet and adapter before assembly. Record any mismatch and keep that connection out of use until resolved.
Can missing ballast be replaced with road cases?
Only use the ballast type, attachment and location specified by the approved design. Do not substitute unsecured or unverified objects.
Limits before installation
Do not add lights, banners or speakers to the LED support without review. Keep required access and exclusion zones clear; do not remove braces to create a passage.
