Harlequin Cascade: performance, marks and cleaning
Prepare a temporary performance surface and distinguish a visible mark from a use condition requiring review.
Identity and package
This guide covers standard unprinted Cascade under UK documentation. It is a vinyl dance covering; it does not replace a sprung subfloor or approve its supporting stage. Printed versions require separate care.
Choose the event system
For a performance, agree discipline, footwear, base and performer routes. Compare temporary Cascade installation with an existing documented dance floor. Include preparation, joints, edges, cleaning, removal and available venue time.
For marks or perceived slipping or excessive grip, pause affected use and record location, time, footwear, moisture and last applied product. A mark does not establish its cause or guarantee that cleaning resolves behavior. Persistent concerns after specified care require technical review before resuming.
Preparation and receiving
- Retain roll identification and inspect delivery before cutting.
- For temporary use, select compatible tapes and resolve joints and edges under the taping instructions; do not transfer permanent bonding procedures.
- CM201 specifies soft sweeping, Harlequin Vinyl Daily Cleaner at its stated dilution, rinsing and complete drying. Avoid acetone, abrasives and oil-impregnated mops.
Questions and solutions
Can color alone determine the choice?
Include discipline, footwear and base. A photo or sample helps discuss finish; it does not certify the assembly.
Does a mark mean the floor is worn out?
That is insufficient evidence. Record reference, history and photos to distinguish dirt, transfer and damage with the supplier.
What if a mark remains?
Do not improvise a solvent or grip treatment. Identify previously applied products and request advice for the actual Cascade material.
Can dancing begin immediately after cleaning?
Allow the specified drying time and surface review. Do not compress that window to recover an installation delay.
What can we quote?
Rental or supply, preparation, temporary installation and support subject to availability. Date, venue, discipline and approximate dimensions start the inquiry; scope and flooring alternatives are agreed with the company.
