System and sources
This powered column has a five-channel digital mixer and battery or AC operation. Confirm base, column sections and battery against its manual; original EON ONE documents do not apply. The unit does not automatically power an external wireless receiver.
Assign microphone, playback and instrument to suitable inputs. The manual distinguishes combo and Hi-Z inputs; selectable phantom power is documented on channels1/2, not every connection. Identify each source’s actual requirements before enabling it.
Ceremony preparation
Include charging, rehearsal, waiting, program and pack-down. Nominal battery duration does not guarantee every level or battery condition; test the system and agree on continuity. JBL distinguishes AC and battery performance, so rehearse with the intended supply.
Lower levels before reconnecting; check source, gain, mute, DSP and selected output. Test speech alone, then transitions. We can assess rental/purchase, preparation and operator from date, venue, duration and approximate sources.
Questions and decisions
Why might a guitar disappear when its volume is lowered?
Check the input behavior and documented mic/line mode before attributing a fault. Record channel, connector, settings and source level; compare the documented instrument input with a known cable. Persistent behavior needs exact-case support; no universal threshold is supplied.
Does the app send audio between multiple speakers?
Remote control and audio transport are different functions. Map each destination and check loop output and receiving input against the manual. App discovery does not prove every unit receives speech and music.
Do AFS or ducking remove the need for rehearsal?
No. Automatic music reduction and feedback suppression are different tools. Test speech, pauses, recovery and presenter movement; save settings and prepare local control if the app fails. Neither guarantees no feedback.
