JBL PRX918XLF
A powered subwoofer to assess with tops, distribution and control; another unit does not guarantee uniform bass.
Ask about rental or technical support
Start with date, venue and approximate needs. We assess options, configuration and operation; availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.
Model and connections
PRX918XLF offers XLR inputs and pass-through outputs, low-pass filtering, polarity and DSP settings. Pass-through outputs have no DSP: also specify the tops’ filtering.
Prepare and check
For a quote, distinguish music needs, existing system, space and operation. A conceptual design needs acoustic and physical validation before the show; it is not mounting approval.
We can assess rental, purchase, integration or support. Start with date, venue, program and approximate sources; quantities, compatibility, availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.
Questions and decisions
How do I prepare a proposal with several PRX918XLF units?
Record proposed quantity, signal path, available power and tentative positions relative to stage and audience. Document each unit’s filters, polarity, delay and levels. The expected result is a traceable configuration to verify on site; more boxes or a copied preset does not establish alignment or uniformity.
What should I check for thumps, noise or distortion?
Reduce levels and compare a known track with the problematic source. Check source and input clipping, cables, settings and nearby vibrating objects without dismantling the cabinet. If noise follows a source, correct that stage; if it persists with a known moderate signal, remove the unit from service and refer to support. Do not disable protection.
