Syva, Syva Low and Syva Sub are distinct elements. Coverage figures do not determine a venue capacity.

Connections and required equipment

The enclosure receives amplified speaker audio. AutoConnect carries the intended system connection when stacked in the documented configuration; it is not a line-level input.

Prepare the system

  1. Identify controller, library, preset and actual arrangement.
  2. Compare every cable and output assignment with the matching manual diagram.
  3. Use the approved design and measure coverage before opening the venue.

Questions and troubleshooting

Why is the column silent?

Trace the controller output and speaker path.

  1. Check controller input, mute, preset and output indication.
  2. With outputs safely isolated, verify the correct cable and input arrangement; never add a parallel feed to AutoConnect.
  3. If input is present but output is muted/protected, resolve that controller condition with the responsible technician. After the approved correction, verify the intended speaker path at controlled level; persistent silence with a validated path requires service, not a second feed.
Which preset applies with a low-frequency element?

Match coupled hybrid or separate processing to the documented layout.

  1. Record element labels, physical placement and connection method.
  2. Compare the exact preset guide and controller library; do not copy a forum channel layout.
  3. If the loaded preset does not match the documented coupled/separate layout, stop before increasing level. Have the system owner reconcile the exact configuration and verify column and low-frequency sections separately, then together; unresolved mapping requires manufacturer support.
Why is coverage uneven?

Directivity and room geometry both matter.

  1. Compare audience position with the design and column orientation.
  2. Measure the affected area before changing level, EQ or delay.
  3. If the difference is limited to an audience area, document that location and request design/measurement review rather than global EQ. Verify the same reference at the same locations after an agreed correction; mechanical changes belong with the responsible installer.
