Prolyte StageDex: TopLine, BasicLine and deck connections
Choose the StageDex surface and support system before evaluating loads or joining decks.
Identify the platform
Ask GLMedia about rental options for your event. The proposal is subject to availability, confirmation of the model and configuration, and the venue’s technical requirements.
Identify TopLine plywood with Hexagrip, BasicLine plywood, or BasicLine acrylate from the label and catalog number. These variants have different surfaces and limits.
What the published specifications cover
- Published examples
- TopLine SM-D-T-200100 and plywood SM-DL-B-200100: 750 kg/m² UDL. Acrylate SM-DL-D-200100: 500 kg/m² UDL.
- Interfaces
- Mechanical leg pockets and connectors. Electrical equipment or cables require a separate bonding and electrical-safety assessment.
UDL is a uniformly distributed load. It does not approve a concentrated equipment load, a wheeled arrangement or the ground beneath the supports.
Deck, supports and accessories
Specify the deck variant, legs, connectors, required guardrails and access system. Match the accessory references and layout.
Prepare the configuration
- Record the labels, height, ground and load locations.
- Follow the selected leg and connector instructions, then check level and stability before loading.
- Keep damaged parts out of service and arrange competent inspection.
Three technical questions
Is a StageDex leveller enough to connect adjoining decks?
Compare the actual part reference: the manual distinguishes leveller SM-ACC-CON-01, deck connector SM-ACC-CON-02 and clamp SM-ACC-CLP-03. Identify which items the approved layout requires and check their installation against the manual. A flush top surface does not prove the modules are connected; keep an undocumented joint out of use.
Can the plywood rating be used for an acrylic deck?
No. Match the exact catalog number and load distribution. Request review of the actual equipment contacts and supporting legs before use.
Is every black StageDex surface suitable for rain?
No. The black BasicLine example specifies indoor use. TopLine water resistance does not mean waterproof construction or approval for prolonged rain. Confirm the exact surface and exposure.
Before anyone uses the stage
Do not repair damaged decks yourself. Plan compatible edge protection, electrical bonding and local requirements with the responsible professionals.
