RCF HDL 6-A
An HDL 6-A module alone does not define coverage, quantity or installation approval.

Start with date, venue, intended use and a rough idea. We identify equipment, preparation and operation with open details; availability, compatibility and terms are confirmed in the proposal.
Model and connections
- Model
- HDL 6-A active module
- Audio
- XLR input / XLR output
- Processing
- DSP / HF correction; integrated amplification
Long room: array or distributed points
Start with geometry, available height, audience and program. Compare a designed modular array, distributed point-source speakers or venue resources. More modules without design do not ensure even speech; front rows, rear areas and under-balcony zones matter.
Show preparation
- Identify HDL 6-A, exact accessories, power and signal path; separate mechanical approval from acoustic adjustment.
- Save module/output map and HF controls; check each stage at protected level.
- The technician checks coverage, sub integration and transitions against design; suspension is not trialed over an audience.
Questions and solutions
Can we select modules by attendance or multiply catalog SPL?
No. System geometry determines distribution; one module’s figures cannot be multiplied into attendee counts. Provide distances, heights and zones. Compare a documented array with another PA if space/program do not justify a modular system.
Does it need an external amplifier?
HDL 6-A contains amplification/DSP and takes XLR audio. It needs suitable electrical power and line-signal routing; do not connect another amplifier’s speaker-power output to its input. Identify subwoofers and their requirements separately.
One module is silent: change the entire preset?
Compare power, signal and that stage’s input/output connections at protected levels with a known reference. Record whether one module or the entire system fails. Global settings cannot fix a missing link; persistent faults need service, not opening the module.
Does HF correction compensate for incorrect aiming?
No. Documented controls adjust the system but do not replace geometry or coverage. Preserve the map and check front/rear/overlap areas before EQ. Do not copy another module count’s settings or attribute other HDL models’ RDNet control to this unit.
Do array fittings allow any flown or stacked arrangement?
No. Use exact module/accessory documents, system design, inspection and professional site validation. No loads, quantities or suspension steps are supplied here. A catalog table or European marking does not approve an installation or its use in the United States.
It feels hot or limits on music: a known fault?
Touch temperature does not establish cause. Record indicators, signal, program and conditions; preserve ventilation and reduce demand when protection acts. Reports do not prove a general defect or minimum module count. Assess design capacity, continuity and technical review before replacement.
