NX 932-A has a combo input, XLR link and Linear, Boost, Stage and level settings. Identify unit power and variant; a signal link does not imply identical acoustic results in two locations.

How do I prepare speech and tracks for a reception?
Balance sources on a suitable mixer, test a known output and select settings for the role. Listen to speech and music at the front, center and back. If one area is quiet while another is excessive, change placement or design fills. More bass alone does not fix speech clarity.
Why does only the laptop distort, while the microphone is clean?
Compare both paths at moderate level: file, player volume, interface, mixer input, output and cable. Test the laptop on another compatible input and a known source through the same cable. If distortion follows the laptop, correct that chain; if it stays with the speaker using known sources, stop using it and refer to support.
