Rosco SubFloor: sprung subfloor and dance surface
Separate subfloor, top finish and supporting base to prepare a dance-floor proposal with a clear scope.
Identity and package
Rosco SubFloor combines MDF panels, foam supports and Wave Lock joints as a sprung system, distinct from a covering or elevated stage. For existing-base review, this guide selects the historical Rosco manual configuration: standard panel 300080004242 with base-and-cap perimeter pieces. Current and legacy parts are not assumed interchangeable.
Choose the event system
For a dance performance, define discipline, footwear and usable area with the company. Compare subfloor plus suitable finish with an existing documented dance floor. Identify both layers and edge transitions in the proposal.
For temporary installation over an existing floor, separate base condition, perimeter retention and top-covering attachment. The Rosco manual distinguishes wood, masonry and non-drilling installation kits; this is not approval for every floor. Ask the supplier to identify the delivered assembly, select its applicable method and confirm the covering. Compare a documented removable installation with an existing dance surface when the venue restricts attachment.
Preparation and receiving
- Send sketch, date, venue and company requirements.
- Record usable area plus space for edges, access and circulation.
- The specific manual has now been located. For the historical configuration, request perimeter layout, installation kit and covering documentation. The current preliminary sheet shows different components: confirm generation before using that procedure.
Questions and solutions
Is vinyl alone equivalent to SubFloor?
No. Covering and sprung support serve different functions; confirm which the activity requires.
Can any panel be cut to fit?
Generic cutting is not authorized. Quote adaptation by reference with a documented perimeter solution.
Does the located manual cover every generation?
No. It documents the historical base-and-cap perimeter configuration. Retain references and match actual parts: the current preliminary sheet does not establish interchangeability or validity of that kit. The general vinyl manual does not replace SubFloor instructions.
Does foam correct an uneven base?
Do not budget it as a leveling solution. Document the floor and request base/system review.
How do we begin without the final floor choice?
Send discipline, date, venue and approximate dimensions. We can assess supply, rental and installation subject to documentation, scope and availability.
