Wenger STRATA Event Staging: floor type, beams and deck locks

Distinguish STRATA Event Staging and Tent Floor from a pit filler, and check the support layout and deck locks before use.

Identify the platform

Ask GLMedia about rental options for your event. The proposal is subject to availability, confirmation of the model and configuration, and the venue’s technical requirements.

This guide covers Wenger STRATA Event Staging and Tent Floor: modular decks carried by beams for event floors and stages. It does not cover the separate STRATA Orchestra Pit Filler. Choose the laydown or leveled-floor instructions for the planned assembly.

What the published specifications cover

Structure
Main beams, spacer beams, deck interfaces and the supports specified for the floor type. The name STRATA alone does not identify the parts.
Published finished-deck limit
The Event/Tent manual states a maximum uniform load of 125 lb/ft² for the finished deck; this is not a point-load rating or ground-bearing approval.
Interfaces
Mechanical beam connections and deck lockdown screws. Identify each interface from the Event/Tent documents.

Do not turn an individual leveling foot’s capacity into a floor rating. The deck, beams, support arrangement, bracing and ground must be considered together. A competent professional must confirm the site and the actual loads, including concentrated equipment contacts.

Deck, supports and accessories

Specify finished or plywood decks, matching beams, supports, connectors, required bracing and access/guard components. The accessories are intended for the STRATA Event Staging and Tent Floor family. A pit-filler proposal is not evidence that its supports or attachments apply here.

Prepare the configuration

  1. Identify the floor type, references and geometry; plan the main-beam starting position and ground-support conditions before assembly.
  2. Use the corresponding manual sequence to square and level the framework before final deck locking. Keep pinch points clear and use the stated handling crew; do not alter an occupied floor.
  3. Check every required deck lock and support before opening the area. For the documented lockdown screw, remaining depressed indicates engagement; springing back up means it has not engaged. An unresolved lock stays out of service.

Three technical questions

A lockdown screw springs up when I remove the tool. Is the deck locked?

The manual identifies that observation as a screw that has not engaged. Keep the deck unloaded. Compare its position, supporting beam and frame alignment with the chosen floor instructions and look for visible obstructions. Do not compensate with excessive force or a substitute fastener. Have the responsible installer resolve the cause before use.

Can leveling feet make any hillside acceptable?

No. Record slope, bearing conditions and the selected support arrangement for the design review. Available adjustment is not proof of soil capacity or lateral stability. Stop for settlement or movement; do not add loose packing or change bracing without the applicable instructions and approval.

Can I use the Orchestra Pit Filler manual for this tent floor?

No. Compare the complete product name and component references first. This Event/Tent system has its own floor types, beam arrangements and accessory instructions. Keep the matching instructions with the job. Do not transfer load ratings, venue-edge attachments or support methods from another STRATA product.

Before anyone uses the stage

The manual permits indoor and outdoor use in fair weather, excluding prolonged wet/humid exposure and severe outdoor conditions. Weather-resistant materials do not authorize any site or prolonged exposure. Resolve bracing, anchoring and weather limits for the full installation; no universal ballast or support spacing is supplied here.
