Williams AV IR T2: language and infrared listening

Prepare transmitter, receivers and program channels for the actual room.

Ask about rental, purchase or integration

Tell us the use, date and venue, even with an approximate brief. We can assess equipment, integration, preparation and technical support. Configuration, availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.

Case 35: distribution, interpretation and assisted listening

IR T2 combines an infrared modulator/emitter for two simultaneous channels. More receiver selections do not make it a four-language transmitter. This proposal references the documented WIR RX22-4; confirm receiver version, carriers and listening accessory.

For languages, human interpretation supplies each intended audio channel. Assisted listening needs a suitable program and receiver/headphone or user-compatible coupling. Audio distribution does not translate; a language feed does not prove accessibility or all event requirements.

Proposed example: floor plus one interpretation as two programs, line input per channel, identified receivers, power and handout/replacement management. More simultaneous programs require another documented design, not a four-position receiver assumption.

Case 36: audio drops when changing seats

  1. Identify receiver/channel/carrier, battery and earphone. Compare a known unit in the same position and that unit elsewhere to separate receiver faults from coverage issues.
  2. Check input audio and enabled transmitter indicators. Face the receiver toward the emitter and inspect light-blocking objects. Stable nearby audio but weak remote areas calls for beam/orientation and room checks before increasing levels.
  3. Walk rows, edges and actual positions at protected listening volume, using normal receiver posture and event lighting. Mark verified zones: catalog coverage depends on receiver/mode and is not a universal room guarantee.
  4. Keep placement/settings and test each language/program separately. Receiver changes or added emitters require compatibility/design review before continuity promises.

Discuss an attendee solution

Evaluate rental, purchase, installation/setup and operation with receivers, accessories and language or assisted-listening distribution. Start with date, venue, approximate audience/programs. Compare infrared with another supported technology for inter-room movement or obstructions; specify coverage tests and included functions.

More setup questions

Does IR T2 translate automatically?

No. It carries audio; interpretation needs a human source and language paths. Assisted listening is a separate need to define.

Does catalog area guarantee every seat?

No. Receiver, mode, orientation and room matter. Verify actual positions before the event.
