Projection guide

A complete projection system

Ask GLMedia about rental options for event projection. We review availability, configuration, and alternatives for your event.

Planning criteria

With the date, location, and intended use, we can review which equipment and combination can be offered. You can inquire before measurements, drawings, or the final schedule are ready.

A projector alone does not define a complete delivery. Resolve picture, placement, power, signal, operation, and audio where required.

Start with what you have and we can identify missing pieces. A finished technical list is not required to begin.

System decisions

Picture and placement
Projector with compatible lens, suitable screen surface and structure, projector mount, and checked position. Lens or mount may be separate items.
Source and link
Computer or player, necessary files and software, compatible cables and adapters. Add distribution, conversion, or extension as the path requires.
Operation and continuity
Define who advances and monitors the presentation, how audio is played, and how to resume after an interruption.

What to share

Describe room, screen, distance, computer, and content. Identify venue-provided and already available items.

Separate picture, sound, presenter control, and backup needs. We can compare a basic path with additional options.

Preparing the comparison

  1. List components by function, model, and preparation owner. Confirm availability without assuming included accessories.
  2. Check compatible lens, screen, structure, and mount. Review power, ventilation, and cabling against exact documentation.
  3. Test the source with planned cables and adapters. Include any distributor, extender, or converter.
  4. Rehearse presenter control and audio with actual content. A USB controller does not distribute video.
  5. Prepare and test the backup path, identifying shared stages.

Three technical questions

Do I always need a converter, extender, or wireless link?

Add them where format, distance, or layout requires. We can review the path first; connector presence does not prove compatibility.

Does slide control replace video backup?

Control sends commands; picture follows another path. PerfectCue Mini USB appears as a keyboard, not a video output.

Test control and picture selection separately on the actual computers.

Is the projector speaker enough for the event?

It depends on room, content, and sound destination. Identify and test the audio path for the intended audience; HDMI audio does not establish room coverage.

Installation and limits

Do not substitute power supplies or mounts solely because they fit. Check exact-system specifications.

Coordinate mounting and cabling to preserve circulation and ventilation. Do not derive loads or attachments from user opinions.

Sources and context

Official model-specific documentation. Check variant, accessories, and conditions before applying settings or calculations.
