Trace one source to its destination

1. Save the current state and identify transmit/receive devices and channels. Seeing devices in the matrix does not prove the mixer feeds speech into that channel.
2. Read the subscription tooltip. If absent, select only the intended crosspoint. If it reports an error, record it before rerouting or restarting.
3. Compare supported format and sample rate at both ends. Incorrect channel format directs that comparison; do not change the whole event for one isolated unit.
4. Check Clock Status and mute. Clock domain mismatch requires identifying the domain and, where applicable, pull-up/down or DDM/Director management; Preferred Leader is not a universal fix.
5. For flow/resource exhaustion, review transmitter capacity and existing destinations. Do not turn everything into multicast without network design. With a stable subscription, check meters, internal patch, mute/fader and physical receiver output.

Record evidence and compare solutions

Record Controller version, device firmware, sample rate, exact message, topology and recent changes. Compare a working path without deleting subscriptions. Do not join redundant networks for testing; coordinate switch, VLAN, clock or security changes with the responsible operator.
