Lutron Caséta and RadioRA: system, hub and regional variants

If Lutron controls are already installed, first identify their system. An app name or familiar button does not establish the audiovisual integration path. The hub, generation, region and desired function change the review.

Regional markets use different part numbers

RadioRA 3 specifications identify different part numbers: RR-PROC3-KIT1 in North American sheet 3691221g and RRKE-PROC3-KIT1 in UK/Europe sheet 3691297a. Use the sheet corresponding to the unit and country; do not substitute similar-looking part names.

These sheets identify the family and variants. A proposal must confirm processor firmware, Designer/app versions and existing control references. This comparison does not establish availability, local approvals or electrical load compatibility.

Available functions depend on the integration

Lutron documents LEAP as an integration protocol with authentication and configuration reading. Ask the system professional to confirm the access required and a supported combination for your intended AV function.

As a specific example, Home Assistant Core 2026.10.3 documentation distinguishes lutron_caseta from the lutron path for RadioRA 2. In lutron_caseta, RA3/QSX scenes are not exposed directly like Smart Bridge scenes; button entities are documented instead. Do not design the interface assuming every line exposes the same objects.

How the AV interface relates to the Lutron system
  1. AV interface → supported integration for the exact product line.
  2. Lutron hub/processor → documented function.
  3. Exposed state → indication; verify it separately from the request.

Information that helps move forward

Start with the function you want to simplify and visible hub references or existing documentation. There is no need to open wallplates or electrical panels or remove controls for an initial inquiry.

This review covers noncritical audiovisual coordination. It excludes electrical wiring, motorized movement and safety systems. Actual tests and equipment supply are defined in a specific proposal.

  • Country, system and hub/processor model.
  • Firmware and tool versions if available.
  • Required command, scene or reading; manual control to retain.
  • Lutron project professional and authorized documentation.
  • Network/account dependencies and planned feedback check.
