Technical questions
Before quoting, we review the venue, viewing distance, content, support design, access, crew, power, rigging and schedule. Your proposal confirms equipment availability for the event date, any required engineering, included services and each provider’s responsibilities. You can rent equipment only, add delivery and operators, or request coordinated AV production.
How do curved LED walls differ from flexible LED?
Curved rental cabinets create repeatable concave or convex structures using engineered locking positions and predictable cabinet geometry. Flexible LED uses modules or specialized surfaces that can follow tighter radii and more sculptural forms. The best option depends on the radius, viewing distance, required resolution, access to the rear of the structure and how the system will be supported. Curved cabinets are often faster for touring and event production, while flexible formats can solve highly customized scenic shapes.
When does a 90-degree LED corner improve a design?
A continuous LED corner is useful on a column, cube, entrance portal or broadcast set. GLMedia can use Unilumin URM III P2.6 45-degree corner cabinets to build a 90-degree assembly. The corner hardware, pixel alignment, service access and content map must be planned together so the image follows the shape.
What does content mapping require for non-standard LED shapes?
A non-standard LED canvas needs an exact pixel map that identifies every cabinet, module and visible edge. Playback content is then composed for that map rather than stretched from a generic 16:9 file. Important faces, logos and text are protected from seams, corners and cropped areas. GLMedia can provide the mapping information to the content team or coordinate Resolume and media-server playback so the design is tested on the real output before doors open.
How does GLMedia plan rigging, testing and show operation?
The process begins with the desired shape, dimensions, venue conditions and viewing positions. GLMedia then checks structural support, hanging or ground-support options, power, signal paths, processor capacity, service access and safe installation sequence. The assembled system is aligned, mapped and tested with representative content, including corner transitions and camera views when applicable. A technician can remain on site to monitor signal, temperature, power and playback during the event.

Practical questions before you book
What video and presentation files should I send?
Ask for the final screen pixel map and playback requirements before exporting. Send the presentation with its fonts and linked media, and provide original video files rather than messaging-app previews when possible. Label the final version and the playback order. We check resolution, aspect ratio, audio and cue points; editing or creating content is a separate task unless included.
Do we need a site visit before confirming the AV setup?
Some projects can start from current plans and photographs. Restricted access, unusual screen shapes, outdoor structures or permanent installations may require a site visit and further technical review. Send what you have first; we will identify what cannot be confirmed remotely. The visit's timing, purpose and any charge should be agreed in advance.
Can I request a specific model or more units than the catalog lists?
Send the exact model, quantity, dates and any approved alternatives on your technical rider. We check current availability and compatibility before quoting. Additional equipment can be considered through complementary rentals or technical partners. The quote identifies the model, quantity and accessories to be supplied, including any substitution you have accepted.
Will a logo that crosses an LED corner look right from every angle?
Not necessarily. A file can match the pixel map and still look distorted from the side. Before placing a logo, face or text across a corner, choose the main audience position and any important camera angles. Content can be composed as separate faces or as one perspective-based image, but those choices produce different results. Send the screen drawing and a sample of the artwork before final export. We review the visible edges and viewing positions with the content team. A curved screen, an LED cube and an anamorphic effect are not interchangeable designs.
Can a curved LED wall show PowerPoint slides and charts clearly?
Yes, if the presentation layout is designed for the screen and the seating. A curved backdrop does not mean every slide should be stretched across its full width. A practical approach is to reserve a readable area for the presentation and use the remaining surface for branding or scenic content. Keep detailed charts and important text away from tight curves or corners where part of the audience sees them at an angle. We need the seating plan, screen drawing and a sample deck to agree on the presentation area and pixel map. If cameras also appear on the wall, their space needs to be included in that layout. Test a slide with the smallest text from the farthest seats; choosing a finer pixel pitch alone does not solve an unreadable presentation.
