A horizontal video canvas

More than panels.A surface people use.

An LED floor combines video cabinets, support and leveling, safe edges and transitions, power, data, processing, content mapping and a traffic plan. Every layer affects the finished experience.

The supplied UDF05 manufacturer literature describes a professional 5.2 mm floor display with 500 mm square cabinets, front maintenance, high refresh and a protected face. Those published figures remain subject to confirmation against the actual rental units and current records.

The estimator below calculates a preliminary cabinet grid only. It does not approve loads, footwear, rolling equipment, vehicles, ramps, structure, electrical distribution, weather exposure or public access.

Applications to quote

One surface.Six ways to transform a room.

The footprint, traffic, content and show operation should be planned together. Each application requires its own edge, access and load review.

Walkable system.Planned traffic.

01

Area rating is not point-load approval

The manufacturer’s published 1.5 t/m² figure cannot be applied directly to wheels, narrow legs, hard feet, lifts, scenic equipment or vehicles.

02

Transitions and public access matter

Finished height, ramps, edges, accessibility, exits, housekeeping and cable protection must match the venue and traffic plan.

03

Surface condition changes performance

Water, debris, residue, damage, unsuitable shoes and loose hardware can affect friction, appearance and safe use. The floor needs inspection and cleaning control.

04

IP data is not permission to flood the site

Weather exposure, connections, distribution, drainage, ground conditions and shutdown criteria still require a documented plan.

05

Qualified technical review required

The actual model, cabinet condition, support, layout, power, data, traffic, content and operating responsibility must be confirmed before use.

Frequently asked

Before
anyone steps on.

How does the cabinet estimator work?

It divides each target dimension by the 500 mm UDF05 reference cabinet size and rounds up to a complete grid. It also reports an approximate installed footprint and content canvas. Final edges, spare units, processing and equipment are confirmed in the quote.

Can it be used as a dance floor?

Dance-floor use can be requested. GLMedia must review the actual surface, shoes, traffic, choreography, transitions, cleaning plan, venue requirements and selected units before confirming use.

Is the system interactive?

The supplied UDF05 document describes the floor display but does not establish a sensor package. Interactive or tracking behavior is a separate integration request that must be quoted with compatible sensors, software, content and show control.

Can the floor go outdoors?

The supplied literature states front and rear IP65 for the UDF05 cabinet, but outdoor use still depends on the actual equipment, surface, weather, drainage, connectors, electrical protection, transitions and operating plan.

What files help produce a useful quote?

Send the floor plan, target dimensions, venue rules, traffic and load description, content reference, stage or wall relationship, access path, setup schedule and photos of the existing floor.
