Avolites Diamond 9: event zones and control replacement
D9-215 reference for show organization and recovery covering file, surface and signal.
Proposed test, scope and alternatives
The requested family is Diamond 9; this page selects D9-215 with two main screens versus three on D9-330. Titan 19 lists D9 at 32 locally processed lines and a 64-line system limit. Processing expansion and connectors are separate decisions. Do not apply Diamond 7 specifications.
For stage, background and audience zones, we propose functional groups/palettes, named cues and assigned playback responsibilities. With multiple operators, agree which user controls each zone. Handle Worlds organize assignments; other users’ programmers can continue affecting output.
Documented Titan backup requires the same software version and no fewer licensed lines than the main system. Opening the file on another surface does not confirm equivalent faders, pages, media, triggers or output paths. Compare those needs against the replacement’s actual capacity.
- Record D9-215, Titan release, approved file and user/zone map. Keep an independent copy outside the session system.
- Map each line to XLR or network destination and receiver. Identify integrated-switch ports and fitted fiber variant; connector shape does not establish speed or active pairs.
- Before joining backup, check release/capacity and agree on Master. Review network, control access, programmer state and synchronization.
- Propose takeover and return rehearsals with representative cues and a clear test area. Observe the transmitting station and each node’s reception; record timing and limits.
- For a smaller surface, prepare accessible pages/handles and a minimum operating path. We can assess equivalent consoles, adaptation and operation; continuity requires verification of the whole system.
Start with your date, venue and approximate needs. We can assess equipment, configuration and operation within an agreed scope.
Are D9-215 and D9-330 layouts identical?
They share Titan, but screens and surfaces differ. Check assignments and control access before approving transfer.
Is a USB copy live backup?
It preserves data, but does not itself maintain a synchronized station or output path. Agree on and rehearse those separate scopes.
Can any smaller Titan console be backup?
Check licensed lines, version, processing and available controls. The current manual requires at least the main system’s licensed line count.
How do we start a proposal?
Send date, venue, zones, approximate equipment and operator count. We can assess D9-215 or another surface, distribution, preparation and recovery; scope and availability require confirmation.
