Proposed test, scope and alternatives
Quartz is a standalone Titan console. Current documentation lists 16 locally processed universes and expansion with TitanNet Processors to a 64-universe system limit. Earlier 12-universe manuals require version context. Physical XLR ports and show lines are different counts.
For a presentation, we propose front, background and audience groups, useful palettes and clearly named program cues. Verify model, personality, mode and address before recording. Programmer content and other playbacks may affect the visible result: rehearse each look from a known state to avoid storing unintended values.
Do not assume a show created or saved in newer software is backward compatible. Quartz support distinguishes upgrades from recovery and warns that recovery may delete files. System changes to open a file require independent backup and scheduled maintenance.
- Identify Quartz, Titan release, file release and applicable AvoKey status. Preserve the original and its version; name the working copy separately.
- Map Titan line → XLR or Art-Net/sACN universe → receiver. Review assignment and enable state in DMX Settings; patching a universe does not prove output.
- Prepare presentation, video and closing cues with agreed timings. Test front light and critical controls across transitions and playback releases.
- If loading fails, record the message and compare software/hardware with official support. If loading succeeds, test profiles, cues and outputs on an isolated copy before acceptance.
- Agree on approved file, operator, rehearsal and return configuration. We can assess rental with programming/operation or review of existing control for the date and scope.

Do 16 universes mean 16 XLR ports?
No. Processed lines are assigned to connectors and/or networking. Distribution and nodes must fit the patch.
Does recording a cue store only what I see?
Check programmer content and the installed release’s record mode. A correct visible look does not establish stored values or references.
Can a newer file open in older Titan?
Do not promise backward compatibility. Preserve the original and verify destination release before conversion or software changes.
What can I send to start?
