Lighting and control

Ayrton Nando 502 Wash

Prepare Nando 502 Wash control: personality, RGB-L mixing, addressing and cooling, with attention to the installed revision.

Ask GLMedia about renting Ayrton Nando 502 Wash for your event. Availability and configuration are subject to confirmation.

Model and purpose

Manufacturer
Ayrton
Model
Ayrton Nando 502 Wash
Variant
Nando 502 Wash; code 013420
Source
12 RGB-L LEDs at 40 W; Lime
Zoom
3.5°–53° motorized
Power
100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz; 550 W maximum

Moving wash for color coverage and effects, with ring or pixel control depending on personality. Lime is part of its color engine; do not substitute a White channel from a generic library.

Prepare your rental inquiry

Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.

You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.

Features and connections

DMX/RDM via 5-pin XLR, a CRMX receiver and Art-Net/sACN via RJ45. TRUE1 power In / Thru; size circuits and power links using the unit documentation.

Personality determines available effects controls. User modes can change channel order and count; the fixture name in the console alone does not confirm a matching patch.

Prepare the system

  1. Confirm code, firmware and matching DMX chart. Have qualified personnel check Omega brackets, clamps and secondary retention; clear the movement area before applying power.
  2. In Address, check the Main source, universe and start address. Inspect Effect and Pwr LED Pix: FollowMain determines whether they follow the main addressing or use independent settings.
  3. Match the fixture mode to the console personality. Save settings and test a single unit with a simple scene first; verify signal loss and recovery before the show.

Questions and troubleshooting

Pixels do not respond although the head moves?

Movement and effects blocks may use different routes.

  1. Compare personality: Basic, Standard, Extend Ring or Extend Pixel. Modes without a pixel block cannot receive that direct control.
  2. Check FollowMain, address, universe and source for Effect and Pwr LED Pix. Identify the missing block before changing the entire patch.
  3. In extended modes, check the blend toward Pixel/Ring and Chase controls against the actual revision chart. A crossfade can conceal individual values.
RGB-L does not produce the expected color?

Global controls, presets and effects may contribute to the result.

  1. Compare CTO, Colour Preset and its crossfade with direct mixing. The earlier chart distinguishes RGB-L control from preset control.
  2. Disable effects in a diagnostic scene and check dimmer and shutter; then add rings or pixels separately.
  3. Compare calibration, filters and fan mode across units. For camera work, test skin tones and white balance with the actual system.
Fans run with LEDs off, or the camera shows bands?

Separate cooling behavior from modulation frequency.

  1. Check Constant Fans and Defog; continuous ventilation may be a selected function rather than a fault.
  2. Compare Auto, Stage, Silence and Super Silence: published light output changes with fan mode. Keep vents clear and do not force a mode to compensate for temperature.
  3. Check Refresh Select alongside camera frame rate and shutter. Selecting PWM does not guarantee band-free results with every camera; test the setting away from an audience.

Precautions

Terms on this page

DMX
A data protocol controlling lighting functions; each model defines what its channels mean.
RDM
Management communication for querying or configuring compatible equipment over a compatible path.
PWM
Modulation of LED output; interaction with a camera may produce recorded bands or variations.
Patch
Assignment of fixture, profile, address and universe in the control system.

Documentation and sources

Consulted: 2026-10-22. English Version 2 manual and V113 chart are earlier references; V10 specification sheet. Support lists manual V117 and chart V116: match them to firmware before applying channel values. Proposed checks.
