Lighting and control

Ayrton Rivale Profile

Prepare Rivale Profile with a defined control source and DMX mode; distinguish CMY mixing, framing protection and Defog.

Ask GLMedia about renting Ayrton Rivale Profile for your event. Availability and configuration are subject to confirmation.

Model and purpose

Manufacturer
Ayrton
Model
Ayrton Rivale Profile
Model
Rivale Profile 012321; distinct from Rivale Wash
Optics
Motorized 4°–52° zoom; 4 framing blades
Power
100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz; 700 W maximum
Control
DMX, RDM, CRMX TiMo, Art-Net and sACN

A Profile moving head with a white LED source, subtractive CMY mixing, CTO, CTP and a color wheel. Use it for gobo projection, framing areas and moving effects. Pan and tilt support continuous rotation: plan clearance before powering up or restoring signal.

Prepare your rental inquiry

Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.

You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.

Features and connections

5-pin XLR carries DMX and RJ45 In / Out carries network data; TRUE1 TOP In / Out carries power. The output connector rating does not establish the circuit’s available capacity.

Zoom, focus, iris, prisms and frost have different roles. A saturated color with closed framing is not the same optical state as open white for output comparison.

Provide suitable support or a surface, compatible accessories, non-dimmed power and a configured control source. CRMX requires a compatible transmitter; network control requires matching universe and addressing.

Prepare the system

  1. Check variant, firmware and DMX chart. Release pan and tilt transport locks, secure fastening and clear the movement envelope before applying power.
  2. In Address, select signal source, universe where applicable and start address. In Mode, match fixture and console personalities; user modes can change channel order.
  3. Record No DMX Status, Sun Protection, fan mode and Framing Mode before testing. Begin with an isolated fixture in open white, aimed into a controlled area.

Questions and troubleshooting

Linked or receiving network data, but the console controls the wrong functions?

A link does not prove that source, universe, mode and patch match.

  1. Check Address and its DMX, WDMX, Art-Net or sACN selection; then compare universe and address with the console output.
  2. Match Standard and Extend to the installed revision’s chart. If missing from the library, obtain the exact personality and revision; do not select Rivale Wash or a similar moving head.
  3. To isolate radio or network, propose a test with known wired DMX. To forward WDMX or Art-Net/sACN through XLR, check DMX Output; do not assume it is enabled.
Does output fall when inserting blades, iris or gobos?

Separate optical state from settings that manage power and temperature.

  1. Compare on the same surface with zoom, focus, filters, iris and dimmer recorded. Check Framing Mode: Constant ON reduces output immediately with iris or blades for stable output; OFF may reduce it after a period.
  2. Check fan mode and temperature. Gobo Control can match RA and RV revisions; do not change this or calibration parameters to compensate for an unidentified loss.
  3. Record firmware and check its history before diagnosing a fault. Versions change color-mixing and framing behavior; plan and verify any update outside the show.
Does Defog change brightness and zoom, or does the head move on signal loss?

These are separate functions and both require clearance.

  1. Defog ON sets dimmer to maximum and zoom to minimum while activating defogging. Use it only when necessary, with beam path and movement clear.
  2. Defog AUTO responds to temperature and humidity without changing zoom or dimmer, according to the manual. Check the selected mode before returning the fixture to a cue.
  3. Sun Protection can tilt the head toward the ground on signal loss. Also check No DMX Status: Close, Hold or Auto. Keep direct sunlight out of the lens, including when power is off.

Terms on this page

DMX
A data protocol controlling lighting functions; each model defines what its channels mean.
RDM
Management communication for querying or configuring compatible equipment over a compatible path.
Patch
Assignment of fixture, profile, address and universe in the control system.
Personality
A control mode defining the channels and functions used by a fixture.
