Genie ST-25: attachment, load and offset load center
Prepare the material lift with the actual load-center position as well as weight.
Identification and application
This is Genie’s Super Tower ST-25, a manually winched material lift, distinct from a personnel platform. Operator’s Manual 32950, first edition, seventh printing, was consulted; applicability to the unit’s serial number and configuration must be checked before use.
For a quote, describe the item to lift, date, venue, approximate height and available space. We can compare a documented lift/attachment package with another support solution, considering operating footprint and circulation.
Prepare the proposal
- Identify nameplate, serial number, load attachment and fork orientation, with inspection records. Do not select solely by catalog maximum or the ST-25 name.
- Prepare dimensions, weight, center of gravity and load securement. The manual measures load center from the front of the carriage; a long or offset load requires comparison of its actual position with the applicable chart.
- The competent operator reviews equipment, surface, operating area and use conditions and performs required inspections and tests under the unit’s manual before lifting. Pending tests are not recorded as completed.
Questions and alternatives
Can a light load sit at the fork tips?
Weight alone does not decide. Provide load center, attachment and dimensions to check limits and permitted position. We can assess another documented attachment or layout without improvised fork extensions.
Does maximum height apply to every attachment?
Attachment configuration and orientation change the case. Describe the required position and actual assembly rather than transferring another model or configuration’s figure.
Do two lifts automatically double capacity?
No. Distribution, method and loads at each support need assessment. A quote can compare alternatives, but dividing weight by machine count does not approve the operation.
Can it lift a person to adjust a light?
This inquiry concerns material lifting, not people. If personnel access is needed, assess equipment authorized for that task and its conditions separately; do not improvise a platform on the forks.
