Listen Technologies LT-84

Specify feeds, receivers and infrared coverage for a bilingual conference.

Ask about rental, purchase or integration

Tell us the use, date and venue, even with an approximate brief. We can assess equipment, integration, preparation and technical support. Configuration, availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.

What it is and when it helps

LT-84 combines a two-channel infrared transmitter and radiator. It distributes prepared audio; it does not translate or replace interpreters.

Connections and components

Identify LT-84-01 regional power, compatible-level analog inputs and exact IR receivers. Assess LR-5200-IR for language selection; do not assume every receiver or headset serves the same role.

Two languages delivered to the audience

Define each channel: floor, interpretation or listening mix. Request separate feeds and test receivers from the seats in the actual layout.

Proposal options

  • Initial option: Transmitter/radiator and compatible receivers for the validated area.
  • Expand the scope: Coverage design, LA-141 radiators where appropriate, charging, distribution and support.
  • Another alternative: Another distribution technology if routes or obstacles prevent suitable IR coverage.
  • For a quote: Date, plan, languages, receiver users and listening requirements.

Prepare before the event

  1. Record sources, channels, receivers and power.
  2. Agree radiator installation and unobstructed visibility.
  3. Label languages and set levels according to the manual.
  4. Walk every area on each channel; check charging, headsets and handover.

Questions and answers

Do two channels include two interpreters?

No. Channels carry audio; interpreters, booths or workstations, returns and operation are separate coordinated scopes.

Why are there dropouts behind a column?

IR needs suitable visibility. Compare the same receiver in open and affected positions; review placement and design before increasing audio or replacing receivers.

Does the catalog area guarantee the whole room?

It depends on receiver, active channels and geometry. The manufacturer distinguishes one- and two-channel coverage; do not apply a one-channel maximum to two languages.

Can I mix another brand’s receivers?

Identify carriers, format and documented model compatibility. Both being infrared is insufficient; retain a verifiable combination.

Does the expansion RJ45 connect to a switch?

It is a dedicated expansion link under the manual, not ordinary Ethernet because it uses RJ45. Use supported radiators and cabling.

What does receiver distribution require?

Counts per language, suitable headsets or listening interface, charging, cleaning and return. Include user testing and assistance; a transmitter alone does not establish accessibility compliance.
