MoonLite² supports a compact wireless control route. Confirm SKU800-2213, TX/RX mode and receivers; distinguish it from the original MoonLite.

Show scenario
For uplights around a ballroom, establish whether the mobile device generates looks through a compatible lighting app or only configures the link. Map mobile/desk → transmitter → receivers → fixtures. Radio carries data; each light needs power.
We can assess rental, purchase or integration with compatible receivers, charging, patch and checks at operating positions. Send a room photo, available models and approximate duration. If the link or app does not suit the program, compare a desk with wired data or a prepared static look.
Prepare the system
- Record SKU, firmware, app and versions; preserve existing settings. Agree on a test fixture and suitable levels.
- Select Flex TX to transmit or RX to receive; check protocols at both ends before linking.
- Prepare only the intended unlinked receivers, run Link and wait. Do not unlink an entire active rig.
- Check address, mode and data with a simple look; rehearse from operating positions and plan power through tests and waiting.
Questions and solutions
Does Toolbox² play the whole show?
Toolbox² configures and updates; a compatible lighting app serves a different role. Confirm app, platform and actual route before offering mobile control.
Can it transmit CRMX² because it is listed?
In this guide CRMX² is receive-only. Choose by mode and the actual receivers’ protocols.
Does powering off erase an earlier link?
No. Linking persists until actively removed. Check the intended receiver and agree on changes outside show operation.
Can it operate while charging?
Yes via USB-C; not in the dedicated charging case. Treat the case as a separate accessory and do not guarantee nominal runtime throughout an event.
Linked, but a light ignores the look: what next?
Separate radio from data. Compare mode, address and profile; verify controller output and use DMX testing to inspect data. A link indicator does not prove correct patching.
How do we quote mobile-controlled uplights?
Define looks, fixtures, app or desk route, receivers, power and rehearsal. Configuration and operation can be assessed; zones or a prepared static look are alternatives to mobile-dependent operation.
Precautions
- IP20: keep dry; fixture protection does not extend to the transceiver.
- Do not change firmware, protocols or linking during the program. Check recovery and who retains control.
