PIXELHUE P80: main, flex, SDI matrix and multiview
Choose a P80 output family by destination content. Main, flex, SDI matrix and MVR perform different functions.
Presentation, notes or camera → P80: identified main/flex or matrix routing → Selected video output → compatible transport → monitor
Show scenario
For a main screen, presenter notes and an operator monitor, reserve a feed for each need. Evaluate flex for auxiliary content and MVR for supervision without assuming one layout suits everyone.
Verified connections and functions
| Flex | Specifications list four HDMI 2.0 flex outputs for independent or combined screens and auxiliary-device use. |
|---|---|
| SDI matrix | Four 12G-SDI matrix outputs can map documented sources and outputs including MVR, PGM and flex. |
| MVR and main | MVR is dedicated; check main copy/split modes before counting destinations. |
Proposed setup and test
- Record full model, version, modules and connections. Save useful settings before changing the system.
- Complete one row per destination: content → source → device function → physical port → transport → monitor. Confirm full format and power at every stage.
- Test a known source and monitor directly first. Add the device and transport in stages, checking the detected format at each receiver.
- Test fine text, motion and audio when included. Rehearse the required content or source change and recovery off program.
- Save final settings and verify real content again. Define who changes each feed and which failure a backup path must cover.
Diagnosis and operation
For multiview where a clean image was expected, trace the source assigned to flex or matrix. If connectors repeat content, check copy/split and output grouping before adding a feed.
Follow manufacturer ventilation and mounting requirements. Use the model’s procedure before servicing modules or power; opening, updating or resetting equipment is not a first diagnostic step.
Frequently asked questions
Is a flex output always a program copy?
The specifications describe it as configurable. Identify the active screen, source, composition and mode; test an audience change that should leave confidence stable.
What if the SDI matrix shows multiview instead of notes?
Trace the source assigned to that matrix output: the documented configuration can map an input, MVR, PGM or flex. Select the agreed content and verify it at the final monitor before the show.
How do I rehearse main screen, notes and operator monitoring?
Use distinct images to identify the three paths. Change program, then auxiliary content, and observe which should remain stable. Check the MVR layout and main copy/split modes separately without counting copies as new compositions.
