Robe LEDBeam 150

Compact RGBW moving light for atmosphere and accents: prepare zoom, cues and the exact variant’s control.

Model and use

LEDBeam 150 combines RGBW mixing with nominal 3.8°–60° motorized zoom. It can be assessed for stage wash or tighter accents. It is not LEDBeam 350; distinguish 150, 150Q, FW and RGBA or WW variants too.

Prepare your inquiry

Tell us the use, date and venue, even if dimensions or the model are still undecided. We can assess rental, purchase, integration or technical support. Availability, configuration, accessories and scope are confirmed in the proposal.

Connections and components

Prepare the system

  1. Record label, firmware and accessories. Check mounting, secondary safety and clear pan/tilt travel.
  2. Match mode, address, profile and RGBW/CMY mixing; test dimmer, shutter, color and zoom on one unit.
  3. Save atmosphere and accent cues separately; rehearse movement and return to wash from audience and camera viewpoints.

Proposed scenario

Small stage: color atmosphere and show accents

Assess positions and prepared beam widths for changing functions. If faces must remain stable, compare separate front light. Movement and zoom do not replace coverage planning.

Count, optics/accessories, power, data, programming and operation follow the script and venue. For precise framing or a logo, assess an appropriate profile or projection system.

Questions and answers

Can one cue cover atmosphere and accents?

It can be a starting point, but save width, direction, level and color per function. Rehearse the change and return. Separate steady light may suit people speaking during effects better.

Why does it black out while moving?

Check BLC P/T and BLC DMC first: the manual documents blackout during movement or color changes. Compare the cue and intended setting without altering service controls or disabling protection.

Why does white not respond like RGBW?

Check C Mix M. In CMY the manual says white channels are inactive. Match the selected mixing system to the profile and save its state; do not recalibrate to fix an incorrect patch.

Is CRMX built in?

Do not infer it from the name. Manual 2.1 describes an external ROBE Wireless CRMX Dongle; confirm unit, accessory and transmitter compatibility. If the link cannot be validated, assess an approved wired DMX route and test it beforehand.

How should fades and camera be prepared?

Confirm dimmer curve, LED frequency and unit profile. Test low levels, fades, shutter and actual shots, retaining accepted settings. A frequency or fan mode alone does not guarantee band-free or quiet results.

Why is there light or movement at power-up?

Standalone programs and initial positions are configurable. Record Auto Run and control state before resetting. Rehearse power-up and recovery with a clear area; persistent movement errors require stopping and service.

Precautions

Documentation and help

Consulted October 23, 2026. Manual 2.1, change dated January 6, 2025, covers 150/150Q; apply only the RGBW unit’s relevant sections. Actual firmware, mode and accessories govern setup. Proposed scenario and rehearsal.

Guides for choosing

Useful terms

DMX: control data; the profile defines the channels. Firmware: software on the unit. Mode: functions and footprint selected on the fixture; it must match the console patch.
