Stagemaker SR5: identify control and prepare a power-supply change
Separate the hoist inquiry from electrical verification before connection.
Identification and application
The documentary reference is SR5 254 M2-A10D8+, English manual P4716450-0.ORD of March 2014. This is a specific SR5 variant, not a specification for every SR5 or a confirmed inventory item. A different regional or order-specific unit requires its matching manual.
Start with the date, venue, lifting task and approximate height. The proposal can compare complete hoist and control supply with a documented compatible alternative, separating preparation and operation.
Prepare the proposal
- Collect the nameplate, serial number, full reference and inspection record. Mark travel, chain, container, operating orientation and proposed points for system review.
- Record available power and the hoist, controller and cable references. Highlight a venue or control change without inferring compatibility from plug shape.
- Qualified personnel compare the nameplate, unit diagram and controller documents before connection and commissioning. This guide does not instruct rewiring or phase changes for testing.
Questions and alternatives
Are SR5 or D8+ enough to request any controller?
No. The complete reference and control circuit must match the chosen controller. Classification and installation authorization are checked separately against site requirements and intended operation.
Can another voltage be used with an adapter?
A connector adapter does not establish electrical compatibility. Identify the change and have qualified personnel verify the actual diagram. We can assess another documented assembly before confirming supply.
How can we proceed before the hotel power is known?
Share the technical contact and available information. We can list supply questions and preliminary options; the missing information is resolved before execution without preventing the initial inquiry.
