Ultratec G3000: fog preparation and control diagnosis

Define variant, fluid and operation before comparing requested and actual output.

Proposed test, scope and alternatives

The reference is standard G3000 Fog Effects Generator, not Mega Fog Burst or a G3000/cooler system. Low fog or specific bursts require assessment of the corresponding documented assembly.

The2022 manual distinguishes demand and actual output during heating; DMX takes priority over remote control. It requires approved Ultratec fog fluid and warns against haze fluid. Do not copy hazer settings.

  1. Record code/label, voltage, variant, control and identified fluid. Have the technical lead verify power for the exact unit; do not modify internal wiring to fix heating.
  2. Agree on venue permission, ventilation and detection responsibility. Prepare no-fog alternatives if prohibited; do not disable alarms.
  3. Allow preparation/rehearsal before the first cue. Compare thermal state and displayed control with the command; reduced output alone does not prove an incorrect DMX profile.
  4. Test remote and DMX separately in rehearsal with known address/values. Check received data and cue before deleting programming or changing firmware.
  5. Record fluid level and protection state without running dry. Remove persistent errors/abnormal noise or odor from service; do not open heater/pump.
  6. Test effect/recovery and retain settings/shutdown responsibility. Demand percentage alone does not establish visible volume or runtime.

Start with your date, venue and approximate needs. We can assess equipment, configuration and operation within an agreed scope.

Does 100% demand guarantee immediate full output?

No. Check thermal state and actual output before assessing results.

Why does the remote appear ignored?

Check active DMX and test routes separately; the manual establishes DMX priority.

Can it use our hazer fluid?

Do not assume so. Choose only G3000-approved fog fluid for the intended effect.

What can you propose?

Generator, consumables, distribution, programming, rehearsal/operator or visual alternatives. Send date, venue, duration and effect; variant, availability and scope need confirmation.
