Dual-sided moving head with wash and moonflower. The VP version adds a port for a separately sold VenueLink dongle. The port alone does not provide wireless reception or establish compatibility with other protocols.
Prepare your rental inquiry
- Date, city, venue and setup, event and pickup schedule.
- Intended use, area dimensions and equipment already supplied by the venue or production.
- Desired effect, positions, throw, area and stage restrictions.
- Control profile, mounting accessories and camera coordination where needed.
Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.
You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.
Features and connections
20CH controls both RGBW groups separately; 10CH and 12CH share color channels. Pan and continuous tilt rotation require clear space.
Supports standalone programs, sound, Master/Slave and DMX through 3-pin XLR. TV dimming mode does not guarantee flicker-free results with every camera.
Prepare the system
- Use grounded 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power without a dimmer. The manual lists 58 W maximum; check nameplate and distribution before powering.
- Stand on a stable base using its feet or hang inverted with approved mounting hardware. Use the included safety loop and secondary retention without obstructing movement.
- Select mode under ChNd and address under Addr; confirm with ENTER. Match console profile; do not connect a standalone master to the same line.
Questions and troubleshooting
Does it move while both sides remain dark?
Colors also require output to be enabled.
- In 20CH check colors on 5–8 and 9–12, Strobe on 13 and Open Light on 14.
- The manual lists 008–015 as open strobe; raise Open Light and a color for a controlled static test. Dimming on 15 selects a curve, not output level.
- Inspect bLNd and Multi-Working Mode if still dark. Other modes use different positions; do not copy these channel numbers.
Can you not separate wash and moonflower?
Independent RGBW control requires 20CH.
- Check ChNd and console profile before editing scenes.
- Test each group separately with color and movement macros disabled according to the manual chart.
- If a side works through Nanu but not the console, inspect address, profile and output-enable channels before changing bALA balance or resetting.
Does VenueLink fail with Tetra Control 2?
Compatible VenueLink accessories are required at controller and receiver.
- Confirm dongles are fitted and their LEDs use the same link color/universe. Use a DMX cable as an independent check.
- For Tetra Control 2, the fixture manual specifies 10CH. Match Moving Head mode and address against both manuals; a freely patched console can use another mode.
- For standalone synchronization problems, check SL1 versus SL2: SL2 may alternate its own program. Save settings before rSet; rFAC restores factory settings.
Quick reference
| Mode | Channels | Calculated last start |
|---|---|---|
| 10CH | 10 | 503 |
| 12CH | 12 | 501 |
| 20CH | 20 | 493 |
Precautions
- Dry indoor use only; maximum 40 °C with 50 cm ventilation clearance. Avoid direct eye exposure.
- Do not connect another system’s dongle based on connector similarity. Downloadable firmware was not verified for this version.
- Remove from service for noise, sticking, damage or electrical faults. Opening or replacing boards is not an operator diagnostic step.
