DSAN PerfectCue
Plan presentation control from the remote to the application. Identify the PerfectCue base and remote and record which command each computer should receive; receiving a button press alone does not verify the on-screen result.
Identification and scope
- Manufacturer or brand
- DSAN
- Equipment name
- DSAN PerfectCue
- Location
- Ask about availability and location
- Availability reference
- Listed as available in the record; current status to confirm
You can start with how the presentation will run, the date and the location even if the files and computers are not final yet. We will review the configuration and supply options for the event.
Information to prepare this item
- Base and remote models, button mapping and equipment documentation.
- Computer, application, file version and intended control path; main and backup computers where applicable.
Identify the remote, base and destinations
Record the base and remote models, available buttons and intended computers, with the operating system, application and file version. Choose documentation by variant; controls and programmers should not be carried over automatically between PerfectCue models.
Keep the command map for each destination before rehearsal. If main and backup computers are used, a shared command does not verify matching slides, animation steps or video positions; record the result on each computer.
Plan the path of each command
| Point | What to record | How to proceed |
|---|---|---|
| Reception | Remote, base and observed response when a button press is received | Distinguish reception from the application result |
| Command and application | Button mapping, destination, active window and intended file | Prepare a rehearsal comparison using the keyboard and a single remote button press |
| Main and backup | Presentation state and observed result on each computer, if both are used | Agree on rehearsal and backup recovery for the identified model |
If the base receives the remote but the presentation does not respond, separate reception, command path and application state before attributing a fault to the link. The related guide covers troubleshooting by model; this page does not document an equipment test or instruct reprogramming or firmware updates during the event.
