PIXELHUE F8: card planning and stage destinations
Assign F8 destinations around actual cards and output modes. A chassis with more slots does not remove module restrictions.
Audience, notes and camera sources → F8: destination → card → output group → Suitable AUX/video → transport → monitor
Show scenario
With several display surfaces and confidence, map card numbers and ports. Prepare a change affecting confidence alone and check every other screen before treating the path as independent.
Verified connections and functions
| Chassis | The page describes eight output slots; record how many cards the actual unit contains. |
|---|---|
| AUX and monitoring | AUX and MVR are different functions. Dedicated MVR is documented at fixed 1920×1080p60. |
| 4K HDMI/OPT card | Documented 4K mode repeats content on both HDMI connectors; OPT copies outputs according to its mapping. |
Proposed setup and test
- Record full model, version, modules and connections. Save useful settings before changing the system.
- Complete one row per destination: content → source → device function → physical port → transport → monitor. Confirm full format and power at every stage.
- Test a known source and monitor directly first. Add the device and transport in stages, checking the detected format at each receiver.
- Test fine text, motion and audio when included. Rehearse the required content or source change and recovery off program.
- Save final settings and verify real content again. Define who changes each feed and which failure a backup path must cover.
Diagnosis and operation
For a screen showing another destination’s content, compare card, group and preset before changing the LED map. For confidence framing errors, identify where image adaptation occurs. Do not count one resource twice because HDMI and OPT are both used.
Follow manufacturer ventilation and mounting requirements. Use the model’s procedure before servicing modules or power; opening, updating or resetting equipment is not a first diagnostic step.
Frequently asked questions
Do eight slots guarantee eight independent 4K confidence feeds?
No. A slot, card, connector and processing resource are different things. Check the installed combination and modes before specifying destination count and format.
What belongs in an F8 output map?
For every destination, record card, port, group, active mode and expected content. Mark HDMI/OPT copies so they are not assigned a different image, and compare the map with the installed cards.
How do I verify a confidence feed before adding it to a multiscreen show?
Rehearse a change intended for confidence, then one intended for the main screens. Observe every destination and record which changes. Confirm resources and preset scope before treating the new path as independent.
