PIXELHUE P20: separating the main screen and confidence
For P20, plan content, operating mode and each output’s function. Optical connections that copy HDMI do not add independent content.
Audience source and notes source → P20: screen/AUX according to mode and resources → Compatible video output → monitor; optical copy only on a supported path
Show scenario
For a main screen and notes confidence, generate two images at the source. Check that confidence remains stable during audience scene changes; connector count does not solve independence.
Verified connections and functions
| Operating mode | The series supports switcher or PGM only. Check each destination’s use in the selected mode. |
|---|---|
| Optics | OPT ports are described as HDMI output copies, not new content feeds. |
| Variant | The page distinguishes P20 from P20-DS. Do not assign P20 the DS model’s Dante or SDI output functions by name similarity. |
Proposed setup and test
- Record full model, version, modules and connections. Save useful settings before changing the system.
- Complete one row per destination: content → source → device function → physical port → transport → monitor. Confirm full format and power at every stage.
- Test a known source and monitor directly first. Add the device and transport in stages, checking the detected format at each receiver.
- Test fine text, motion and audio when included. Rehearse the required content or source change and recovery off program.
- Save final settings and verify real content again. Define who changes each feed and which failure a backup path must cover.
Diagnosis and operation
If confidence follows audience changes, check destination assignment and preset scope. If the monitor has no video, test the direct video port before blaming the LED optical branch.
Follow manufacturer ventilation and mounting requirements. Use the model’s procedure before servicing modules or power; opening, updating or resetting equipment is not a first diagnostic step.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create another feed just by connecting a free OPT port?
The documented OPT copies HDMI. Different content requires another source and a supported independent destination with an appropriate physical output.
How do I check that notes remain stable while program changes?
During rehearsal, feed the notes path a recognizable image and run the planned audience-screen changes. Record which destinations they affect and correct routing or scene scope if confidence changes unexpectedly.
Should confidence use HDMI or an optical copy?
Choose by destination and path. The optical copy needs a compatible receiver and retains the copied output’s content; it does not create another feed. For a nearby monitor, assess a supported direct video output first.
