The Temple House: vendors, power and AV setup in Miami Beach
The Temple House is at 1415 Euclid Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139, in Miami-Dade County. For a private event or production, establish what the venue provides and which additional systems are needed before committing to equipment and crew.
A private venue with its own vendor requirements
The venue has an exclusive vendor list; its FAQs say outside vendors need specific written permission. Confirm equipment rentals or outside production services for your event rather than assuming that renting the space allows them.
The venue publishes different capacities for different rooms and layouts. Do not treat a promotional capacity as approval for your floor plan: guests, furniture, staging, circulation and equipment need to be considered together. Identify the contracting entity and its authorized representative as well.
| Responsible party | What needs to be agreed |
|---|---|
| Venue | Booked space, approved vendor, house systems, access and operating conditions. |
| Organizer | Event format, expected attendance, schedule and the person coordinating approvals. |
| GLMedia and other vendors | Each company’s equipment and tasks, house-system interfaces and scope limits. |
| Public authority | Permits and inspections applicable to the event and its setup. |

House systems and power: request the actual configuration
The 2021 technical package describes sound, lighting and projection; do not treat it as a current inventory. Request the latest equipment list, rental inclusions, system operators and permitted connections. For video integration, agree on content format, signal, control access and testing before the event.
Page 19 identifies 120 V, 20 A outlets and directs clients to inquire about Cam-Locks and distribution. This does not establish how many independent circuits are available or their combined capacity. Do not count visible outlets as separate circuits.
| System | Confirm before pricing |
|---|---|
| Sound and control | Approved inputs and outputs, coverage, operation and use restrictions. |
| Video and projection | Current equipment, delivery format, connections, control access and rehearsal. |
| Power supply | Assigned circuits, voltage, available load, protection and connection responsibility. |
| Cam-Locks and distribution | Availability, capacity, connection location, authorized personnel and cost. |

Equipment access, floors and structures
The venue identifies its elevator as a passenger elevator, not a freight elevator. Do not plan to move equipment upstairs in it without an approved solution. The 2021 package shows routes and doors but requires measurements to be confirmed during a site visit. Check the entire route against actual shipping cases and carts.
Floor plans and ceiling heights do not establish rigging capacity. For LED displays, truss, risers or suspended equipment, provide weights, support locations and positions; request approved attachment points, allowable loads and required documentation. If these are unavailable, mark the design as pending in the proposal.
The 2021 package prohibits gaffer tape directly on the floor and specifies blue painter’s tape underneath it. Confirm the current method and approved materials before taping or placing equipment. This instruction does not authorize attachments to walls or ceilings.

Haze, effects and permits: separate approvals
The 2021 guide requires written approval for smoke or haze and refers to Fire Marshal involvement. Confirm the current process and who coordinates that review. Do not assume venue consent covers public approval or that production personnel may alter detection systems.
Acceptance of lasers, pyrotechnics and spark machines requires specific confirmation. Disclose the model, location and intended use so the venue and relevant authority can determine whether they are permitted and what documentation is needed. Haze approval does not automatically extend to these effects.
In Miami Beach, a Special Event Permit for private property depends on the use and the services or permits involved. The city publishes 30–60-day application windows for these cases. Confirm the event classification before setting the schedule: a venue booking does not establish that permitting is complete. For a private-property event requiring temporary structures or Building or Fire permits, the detailed city section specifies 60 days; do not schedule that setup using the 30-day window for other cases.
Temporary structures and other installations may require additional Building or Fire review. An event permit does not waive noise requirements. Request operating limits and hours for both indoor areas and the terrace.

Schedule load-in, testing and load-out
The FAQs require insurance certificates from all vendors at least 15 days before the event. Confirm certificate requirements and the recipient; sending a document does not establish acceptance.
Book clear windows for unloading, setup, rehearsal, the event and removal. Ask where vehicles can wait, how carts can travel, which surfaces need protection and who opens each access point. Do not assume street space, the terrace or support rooms are included in the rental.
For equipment on the terrace, agree on weather protection and a contingency plan consistent with the contract. Moving indoors may change capacity, circulation, power and sightlines; prepare that alternative before it becomes necessary.

What to send for a workable proposal
You do not need equipment model names. Start with what the audience should see and hear, which parts need recording or streaming, and what each vendor is expected to supply. That scope supports a proposal subject to venue confirmation.
| Document or decision | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Dated, versioned floor plan | Place guests, equipment, supports, cables and access routes without mixing revisions. |
| Load and shipping-case list | Check assigned power, entry and equipment movement. |
| Scope by vendor | Avoid duplicating house equipment or leaving tasks unassigned. |
| Approvals and outstanding conditions | Separate confirmed items from decisions that may change cost, staffing or design. |
GLMedia can propose equipment rental or preparation, installation, operation and removal of the contracted systems, within the approved scope. This is audiovisual technical production; it does not mean organizing the entire event or replacing the venue or public authorities.
If the plan, equipment, location or an effect changes, issue the revision and identify which approvals need updating before proceeding.
This guide helps prepare an inquiry; it does not establish availability, a permit, structural capacity or setup approval.

Frequently asked questions
Can I hire GLMedia directly for this venue?
You can discuss the scope, but the work must comply with the venue’s vendor list and have written permission where required. This guide does not establish approved-vendor status.
Does the 2021 package confirm the equipment I will receive?
No. It is a dated reference. Request the current inventory, availability, rental inclusions and operating terms for your event.
Are the 120 V, 20 A outlets enough for my setup?
Those values in the 2021 plan do not establish total available power. Assigned circuits must be confirmed and checked against the actual load list.
Does an event permit authorize smoke, lasers or rigging?
Do not assume that it does. Each element must be described and receive the applicable reviews and approvals, along with venue consent.
Can I plan on only 30 days if I add a temporary structure?
The city’s private-property section specifies 60 days for events requiring temporary structures or Building or Fire permits, among other cases. Confirm the classification and scope before scheduling load-in. If you add that setup later, review the schedule with the city and venue; do not assume approval within the previous window.
