Coronado Springs: rooms and load-in during convention-center work

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, 1000 W Buena Vista Drive, is in Bay Lake, Orange County and CFTOD. Before AV design, confirm the room, route and schedule available during the announced refurbishment.

What must the event-date plan show?

Request a dated revision identifying room and partition, El Centro Corridor and nearby closures, loading, exits and accessible routes. The Master Floorplan whose file includes 6.22 represents the published layout, not construction diversions. If a door or circulation route changes, rework screen, stage, cabling and audience positions before setup; retain an actually confirmed alternate space rather than an intention to relocate.

Can Veracruz, Coronado and Fiesta use the same screen?

The chart lists 23 ft height for Veracruz Hall, Coronado Ballroom and Fiesta Ballroom, but different areas and partitions. Ceiling height is not trim: obstacles, points/WLL and support review remain missing. Lantana 1–3 is listed at 10 ft; do not transfer a tall ballroom design to those rooms. Plot image, structure, lens and viewing distances. Check framing and readability with a test signal; if location must change, return to the plan before moving supports or occupying exits.

How should contractors, loading and effects be coordinated during work?

CFTOD Building & Safety requires prior registration for contractors or temporary vendors hired to work and apply for permits; applications use ACA. Confirm project-specific permits and Fire Prevention review separately from hotel and organizer acceptance. Define circuits, AV models, staffing, insurance, checks and load-out windows without relying on closed areas. These sources provide no authorization for lasers, haze or new suspensions. If acceptance is missing, retain a version without that element; re-review the application and fallback version when phase or room changes.

Frequently asked questions

Does refurbishment mean the entire center is closed?

The notice describes phases and temporarily inaccessible spaces, not uniform total closure. Confirm room and route availability for your date.

Can the 6.22 plan serve as the construction access plan?

No. It is a layout reference; request current closures, diversions, evacuation and loading arrangements.

Does a Disney booking replace CFTOD registration and permits?

No. Commercial acceptance, registration and permit review have different scopes; verify the exact activity.

Official documentation

The refurbishment notice covers 2026–2027 without listing every room closure date. The plan with 6.22 in its path does not establish construction status; availability and technical rules need confirmation.
