This page covers M32R LIVE, product 0603-AEP. The earlier M32R has a separate page: its name does not identify an installed card. The documented LIVE package includes DN32-LIVE with 32-channel bidirectional USB and SD/SDHC recording. Inspect the received unit because a replacement expansion changes the scope.
The system can mix a room and provide recording feeds, but sockets, mix channels and delivered tracks are separate resources. A stereo mix may serve an event archive; isolated voices require a track list and review responsibility. A recording card does not replace a remote participant mix.
Case 11: panel, room and file
- Map source → mixer channel → room/remote → card source → recorded track. Keep the video-call return out of its own send. Identify every source the recording must retain.
- Save the scene before changing Routing/Card Out. USB position need not match a fader number: verify the source and how gain, processing, mute and fader affect the selected tap.
- On a computer, select the correct installed-card driver/interface for the OS and map recording inputs. Mixer meters or USB recognition do not prove a usable file.
- During rehearsal record identified speech on each track and play a sample with protected outputs. Trace missing speech through source, card patch, software input and file while retaining the room mix.
Case 12: rental unit and backup
- Identify mixer, expansion, panel, both firmware versions, computer OS/driver and media. Audio USB, remote control and storage are separate functions.
- Check SD mode and behavior in the applicable DN32-LIVE documentation. Two slots do not prove independent copies or protection from mixer/power failure. Do not promise redundant recording by counting slots.
- For backup, define the failure to cover and compare a second capture with agreed signal path, power and operator. Check both files for content, duration and readability off-program; avoid event-time firmware changes.

More setup questions
Do M32R and M32R LIVE guarantee identical recording?
The name alone does not. Identify the installed expansion and its documentation; a unit may have a replacement card.
Do two SD slots mean independent backup?
They do not prove it. Document mode and failure coverage; both may depend on the same mixer and power.
Can I inquire before the track list is final?
Yes. Date, venue and approximate voices allow comparison of final mix, isolated tracks and operation scope.
