SoFi Stadium: plan AV for a private event
SoFi Stadium offers very different spaces for meetings, receptions and corporate events. Before choosing displays, sound or cameras, identify the space being booked and the audiovisual services already included in the venue proposal. Its official private-events page provides a useful starting point.
Start with the space, then choose the equipment
The private-event offering includes clubs, patios, field-adjacent areas and other spaces in the complex. The setup for a display or mixer may vary by room and event format. Record the exact space name, available plan, program and locations for guests, stage, control and cameras.
YouTube Theater and American Airlines Plaza appear among the complex's options, but their conditions are not interchangeable with those of the stadium bowl. Request the information for the space actually booked.
Allow time for load-in, testing and load-out
The official page describes a baseline private rental with four event hours, two load-in hours and one load-out hour. That helps frame an initial schedule; the event agreement should confirm whether it covers unloading, installation, connections, testing and removal for the proposed system.
If the event includes rehearsal, recording, streaming or several camera positions, place those tasks on the schedule before finalizing the proposal. A room or layout change can also alter equipment routes.
Separate venue AV from the system you plan to bring
SoFi Stadium offers in-house AV equipment and services and can recommend vendors for larger productions. Its private-events page says the preferred-vendor list is not mandatory for outside vendors who meet the event's minimum insurance requirements.
List the microphones, sound reinforcement, displays, playback, cameras, recording and streaming connections the program actually needs. Use that list to confirm what the venue provides, what is rented separately and who coordinates signal testing.
| Decision | Information to bring | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Audio and presentations | Speakers, sources and listening zones | Included equipment and in-room tests |
| Video and cameras | Content, formats and positions | Signal paths and approved locations |
| Streaming or recording | Platforms, feeds and backup | Connectivity and test time |
Ask about the built-in displays early
The Infinity Screen and Ribbon Boards may be available for a private event, but the venue directs availability and pricing questions to its Event Sales Manager. Before producing media for them, confirm the space, enabled displays, delivery formats, content schedule and playback operator.
The public page does not provide a pixel map, signal inputs or direct-access terms for every event. Keep another display option in the plan until the applicable specifications are confirmed.
Bring a brief that makes the setup clear
Collect the space and date, program, floor plan, load-in and load-out times, equipment list, positions, signals and proposed vendor. SoFi Stadium says private events require insurance; request the requirements for the booked scope before submitting documents.
If the design involves flown structures, heavy floor-supported equipment, electrical tie-ins or work on the field, request the specifications and approvals for that space. The published commercial conditions do not supply those technical details.
Frequently asked questions
Must I use a vendor from the venue's preferred list?
The private-events page says that list is not mandatory when your chosen vendor meets the minimum insurance requirements. Confirm those requirements for your event and booked space.
Can I include the Infinity Screen in my proposal?
You can ask about it, but SoFi Stadium says availability and pricing are confirmed with the Event Sales Manager. Request content and operating specifications before promising its use.
Are two load-in hours enough for any AV system?
That is the baseline time published for private events. Compare it with your unloading, installation and test schedule, and agree on the applicable timing before finalizing the scope.
