Prepare your rental inquiry
- Date, city, venue and setup, event and pickup schedule.
- Intended use, area dimensions and equipment already supplied by the venue or production.
- Wash, effect or accent use; location and target area.
- Required zone or pixel control, profile and cabling, subject to model functions.
Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.
You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.
Features and connections
Offers DMX through 3-pin XLR, standalone programs, sound activation and master/slave. Power input/output uses powerCON-compatible connectors; check circuit and connector capacity before linking power.
Published beam angle is 25°. Individual LED ratings do not equal mains consumption; use the nameplate and fixture electrical data for power distribution.
Prepare the system
- Inspect housing, bracket and knobs before mounting. Qualified personnel must validate clamp, structure and secondary retention. Allow 50 cm ventilation clearance and use grounded power without a dimmer pack.
- Under CHNL, select CH-1 for 6 channels or CH-2 for 11; confirm with ENTER. Under Addr, select and confirm the start, reserving the entire footprint.
- Connect console output to DMX IN, link OUT to IN and terminate the final output. For console testing, disable automatic/sound programs and avoid another master on the same line.
Questions and troubleshooting
Are colors incorrect or does the fixture stay dark?
The dimmer position differs between personalities.
- Match CHNL and profile. In 6-channel mode, colors follow RGBAW+UV directly, without a separate master dimmer.
- In 11-channel mode, dimmer is channel 1 and colors are 2–7. Also inspect strobe and programs; an offset profile may trigger other functions.
- Test a static color with known values and no effects. Compare a directly connected unit before replacing components.
Does a fade step or flash during an effect?
Separate color path, dimming and data transport.
- Compare a slow color transition with an intensity-only fade. Record mode and dimming settings before changing them.
- Check nodE and, in the extended personality, the dimming channel against that manual revision. Avoid calibration or factory reset as an initial response.
- Repeat a static scene over wired DMX and inspect profile, termination and power. For camera-only flicker, record shutter and frame rate; do not assume flicker-free performance at every setting.
Can a wireless receiver run without an external supply?
The manual gives specific wiCICLE conditions rather than universal compatibility.
- Check the approval logo and revision: only identified fixtures may power a wiCICLE receiver from DMX IN.
- The wiCICLE transmitter needs its external adapter. Do not infer power or protocol support for other receivers.
- Follow case-to-shield separation requirements for the approved system. Do not modify grounds or cables based on a forum suggestion.
Quick reference
| CHNL menu | Channels | Last complete start |
|---|---|---|
| CH-1 | 6 | 507 |
| CH-2 | 11 | 502 |
Precautions
- Dry indoor use only; no rain or moisture. Do not exceed 40 °C and keep fan and vents clear.
- Remove from service if housing or bracket is cracked, deformed or loose and arrange inspection. Transport in protective packaging and never lift by the cable.
- Avoid staring into the output or treating UV as harmless. Amber and white do not guarantee skin-tone rendering or an undocumented CRI.
