Cabinets, mounts and displays: checking the complete setup
Pairing furniture with a display also means selecting the mount and adapters. Review documentation for those parts together: cabinet width and screen size alone are not enough to choose the complete setup.
Identify the cabinet and optional mounts
AVFI lists CR2000EX at 42 × 24 × 30 in (width × depth × height; about 106.7 × 61 × 76.2 cm) and PM2-S and PM2-XL as mount options. Each option needs its own documentation and configuration.
Request front and side views identifying the display, mount and accessories. Ask for overall dimensions and the space needed to open doors and reach connections. Those details help review the proposed setup and the areas that need to remain clear around it.
VESA is one compatibility detail
The VESA pattern describes the display’s mounting-hole layout within a standardized mounting interface. It is one detail to compare with the mount. Also record the exact model, stated weight, planned position and accessories, along with cabinet, mount and adapter documentation. A matching pattern alone does not confirm the complete setup’s capacity or stability.
Share the list with the video and rigging team to review equipment selection and installation against the manufacturer’s conditions. If the setup needs anchors, ballast or a floor assessment, the technical lead must identify the documentation and checks needed before the solution is confirmed.
Coordinate access, power and changes
Ask what must remain clear for connections, ventilation and maintenance and how the assembly will arrive. Review the route with the venue using actual package details, without assuming delivery assembled with the display.
If a part changes, update the complete list before confirming the order. The video guide linked below covers content and signals; choosing the mount still requires its documentation and the display and cabinet specifications.
Separate included, optional and unselected items
A mount listed as a catalog option is not necessarily included in the quote you received. Request a parts list with model, quantity and status for each item. Keep separately quoted items distinct from the included setup.
On narrow screens, scroll the table sideways. With a keyboard, use Tab to reach the table, then the arrow keys to scroll.
| Status | What to request in writing |
|---|---|
| Included | Model, quantity and accessories covered by the offer. |
| Optional | Identified part, whether it is offered separately and the decision still needed. |
| Pending | Which detail needs confirmation or which part needs selection, and who will respond. |
A short inquiry to get started
Answer what you already know and copy the answers into your message. You can leave details blank and mention any photos, program or sketches you have available.
- When and where will the setup be used?
- What content should the display show, and who is it for?
- Are you seeking rental, purchase, installation or integration with parts you already have?
- Which display, cabinet, mount or accessories have already been selected?
- Which parts do you need proposed?
- Which space and setup dimensions do you know?
- Who will supply the content, and who will play it?
- Do you have photos, a sketch or specifications for the available models?

Frequently asked questions
What else needs review if the display and mount have the same VESA pattern?
Request specifications for the exact display and mount models and identify the planned adapters and accessories. The person reviewing the assembly also needs to check weight, display position and the combination with the cabinet against the manufacturers’ documentation. Even when the mounting patterns match, the complete planned configuration still needs to be checked.
Can I place a display on decorative furniture?
Request an assembly intended and documented for that use. Shape or size alone does not establish that function.
Must I select every part before inquiring?
No. Tell us what you want to show and send a photo or sketch, along with any models you already know. We can compare options and identify the details and compatibility checks still needed.
What if the display changes after the cabinet is selected?
Record the new model and have the combination with its mount, adapters and accessories reviewed again. Matching screen size is not enough. The review needs to cover weight, compatibility, planned position and the complete setup’s dimensions.
