Lounge chairs and sofas for a panel: dimensions and support
During an onstage conversation, each speaker needs somewhere to sit, reach water or notes and use the planned microphone. An individual lounge chair and a shared sofa offer different space and support. Compare seat dimensions, arms and back as well as the style photo.
Compare usable seating space
Coalesse lists the Millbrae Lifestyle lounge chair at 35 × 35 in in width and depth, and the two-seat sofa at 64 × 35 in (about 88.9 × 88.9 cm and 162.6 × 88.9 cm). Both list a 17 in seat height (about 43.2 cm).
Those measurements do not cover the whole Millbrae collection. Confirm Lifestyle or Contract and the exact model code. Review how many people will use the sofa, their support needs and whether individual chairs would suit the conversation.
Choose for the planned conversation
Request usable seat depth, firmness and supports for the offered version. Explain whether participants will read notes, use handheld or lavalier microphones and whether different speakers will use the same seat. Share those details with sound and camera teams when reviewing the furniture choice.
The camera and sound teams can review how the backrest, arms and tabletop objects affect microphone use and the camera view. Share the furniture specifications and object list to prepare that review.
Include upholstery and delivery in the selection
Request the fabric or leather reference, color and model-specific care guidance. If the venue requests material documentation, obtain the documents for that exact combination from the supplier and submit them to the venue’s responsible team for review. A fabric name does not establish venue acceptance.
Confirm protected package dimensions, stated weight and any pieces arriving separately. Request the supplier’s handling instructions for that model and share the delivery configuration with the venue. Agree whom to contact if different furniture arrives or you find damage.
Low tables: define height, surface and objects
Coalesse lists these Millbrae tables with different top dimensions and heights. Keep tabletop dimensions and height separate when comparing the offered version.
Choose for what the seated user needs to reach: water, notes or a demonstration object. Request top material and finish, base details and documented limits for the intended use. Do not specify a low table as a seat, step or equipment support without documentation for that role.
Send the camera and sound teams the object list and tabletop finish so they can review reflections and what appears in frame. Placement belongs in the floor plan and depends on the seat and intended use; there is no single spacing that fits every sofa and table.
On narrow screens, scroll the table sideways. With a keyboard, use Tab to reach the table, then the arrow keys to scroll.
| Table | Tabletop | Height |
|---|---|---|
| Rectangular | 54 × 20 in (about 137.2 × 50.8 cm) | 15 in (about 38.1 cm) |
| Side | 20 × 20 in (about 50.8 × 50.8 cm) | 20 in (about 50.8 cm) |
A short inquiry to get started
Answer what you already know and copy the answers into your message. You can leave details blank and mention any photos, program or sketches you have available.
- When and where will the talk take place?
- How many people will take part, and how long will the talk last?
- Will it be an interview, panel or conversation with audience questions?
- Do you prefer individual chairs, a shared sofa or a comparison of both options?
- Which access and support needs should the seating choice accommodate?
- Which objects will participants need to reach from their seats?
- Will there be microphones, on-screen presentations or recording?
- Do you have a program, style photo or stage sketch?

Frequently asked questions
How do I confirm how many panelists will use the sofa?
Use the catalog description as a starting point and request the usable seat dimensions. Review them with the organizer in light of the participants, their seating positions and support needs. Record the agreed number of panelists in the order rather than deriving it solely from the term “two-seat sofa.”
Can I choose by the color in a photo alone?
Color supports the style choice, but request the version, upholstery code, dimensions and a sample when appearance is critical.
What furniture details does the stage team need?
Ask the supplier for the model, dimensions, weight and available information about the furniture’s contact points. Send those details and the proposed position to the team responsible for the stage so they can identify any further information needed. Total weight alone does not confirm suitability for that stage.
How do I request a sofa and low table before the floor plan is ready?
Request specifications for both pieces and explain what the seated person needs to reach. List the table’s objects and the planned microphone type if known. The event team can use those details when reviewing placement.

Send the program or a preliminary sketch, the number of panelists and a style reference. Note whether you prefer individual or shared seating and what will go on the low table. We can begin reviewing video and audio needs while the furniture selection is being completed.
