PUBLISHED INVENTORY
32 event rooms
The hotel publishes 32 rooms and 13 breakout rooms, creating a multi-room signal, crew and schedule problem—not only a ballroom problem.
DOWNTOWN MIAMI · LARGE GENERAL SESSIONS
The property’s large, tall ballroom and extensive room inventory can support a major general session plus breakouts. GLMedia can define the LED, video and broader technical scope around the approved floor plan and house-service requirements.

METROPOLITAN BALLROOM
The official capacity chart lists a 166 × 111 ft column-free ballroom with a 24 ft height.
PUBLISHED CAPACITY
The chart lists 1,000 banquet capacity; stage, LED and technical control reduce usable guest capacity.
SPECIAL SPACE
The venue also publishes a 24 ft-high arena and basketball court, requiring a different production and protection plan.
In the Metropolitan Grand Ballroom, the useful screen geometry depends on the seating plan, stage depth, presenter position, ceiling and approved rigging or ground-support method. A large canvas also changes camera angles, control-room position, audio coverage, power distribution and rehearsal time.
When the agenda includes breakouts, GLMedia can build a room-by-room equipment and labor matrix, plan shared content distribution, and separate fixed house requirements from the equipment and crews included in our proposal.
Confirm the contracted ballroom section, final audience layout, stage footprint, ceiling and rigging availability, floor loads, egress, dock route, elevator dimensions, power and show schedule. The published 24 ft ballroom height is useful context, but it is not permission to fly equipment. The venue and qualified rigging provider control the approved deployment.
Start with the agenda and simultaneous room count. Each breakout needs a defined display or projection plan, playback source, microphones, audio coverage, remote-presenter requirements and technician level. Shared content, recordings and overflow feeds should be mapped before equipment counts are finalized.
Subject to approval, GLMedia can quote LED walls, processing and playback, cameras, switching, IMAG, recording, streaming, confidence monitors, timers, intercom, audio, lighting, staging, pipe and drape, power distribution, technical direction and bilingual crews. Some categories may use qualified external resources, identified accurately in the commercial scope.
Send the Marriott event agreement, current floor plans, Encore or house AV quote, rigging and power rules, dock schedule, certificate-of-insurance requirements, complete agenda and every room assignment. GLMedia can then identify duplicated services, missing interfaces and items that still need written venue approval.
Venue facts were reviewed on August 27, 2026 from the official JW Marriott Marquis Miami events page and capacity chart. Room details and policies can change; confirm them directly for the contracted date.
